The Family Health Center is located on the East Flint Campus of Genesys Regional Medical Center and is designed as a model unit. With more than 15,300 square feet of space, the Family Health Center has twenty six examination rooms and specialty rooms. The unit is divided into modules which consist of a team office with six to eight examining rooms or treatment rooms. Specialty rooms are available for colposcopy, proctosigmoidoscopy, fracture care, EENT evaluation, osteopathic manipulative medicine, psychological testing, video taping and a number of other endeavors. All patient care in the Family Health Center is supervised by family medicine faculty. Our faculty staff includes not only family physicians, but internists, surgeons, pediatricians, geriatritions, behavioralists, dermatologists, and obstetrics/gynecologists. An efficient and comfortable environment is provided for you and your patients. Patients have easy access to our large central waiting room and inner waiting room areas. Through patient encounter forms, modified problem-oriented medical records, ambulatory care research, ongoing medical care review, computerized billing and the light paging and office communications systems, you have the information and resources you need to respond to your patients in a timely and efficient manner. This information also provides valuable feedback for resident evaluations when assessing the program.
